Rothschild Fire and EMS Department is a paid on call department.  The department has a daycrew of two EMT's who stay at the department Monday thru Friday from 8am to 4pm and answer calls.  They also perform monthly fire inspections at local businesses, do presentations during Fire Prevention Week at the local schools and weekly vehicle inspections.

Rothschild Fire and EMS Department responds to  both emergency and non-emergency calls for EMS, Fire and Rescue in the Village of Rothschild.  We also respond to mutual aid requests to Kronenwetter, Schofield, Weston, Mosinee and Rib Mountain as needed.

The Rothschild Fire and EMS Department has 32 members who are trained to the levels, but not limited to, EMT-Intermediate Technician or EMT-Basic, Wisconsin State Firefighter, Rope Rescue, Water Rescue and Confined Space Rescue.
